Had a pleasure of doing hair for Katherine and Sophie, the owners of Washington, DC's Georgetown Cupcakes. Looking forward to this editorial printing in the next few weeks. Derek Lam Fall 2011, Ritz Carlton, Washington DC

What an amazing event at the Ritz Carlton for the First Annual Great Ladies Luncheon and Fashion show featuring Derek Lam's Fall 2011 Collection. I took some behind the scenes pics. As one of the hairstylists booked for this event, hair was blown straight, flat ironed using Mizani's Iron Curl with a slick landingstrip (as I call it lol) in the middle using Biolage Hard Rock Gel, I love this product. It is a total must have in my kit.

This was the hair look. Models are Lil and Jackie both are with THE Artist Agency, an amazing agency based in the Nation's Capital.

The Ritz Carlton certainly took care of us as you can see.

Neiman Marcus, Ken Downing, 2011 Trends

It was awesome working for Ken Downing, Fashion Director of Neiman Marcus. Ken requested sleek hair that didn't move but wasn't hard to touch and had alot of shine. Products I used to get the look were Biosilk rock hard gelee for hold and Mizani's spradiance high gloss serum for a long lasting shine. Great team to include myself Kim Steele, and Susan Heydt.
